      Supported Employment

VocRehab Vermont is committed to assisting all people with disabilities who want to work. Supported employment provides a wide range of services designed to teach necessary skills, help a person transition into a job, and ensure that employers meet the needs of their employees. Typically, support is gradually withdrawn as natural supports are developed on the job and as the individual becomes more and more self-sufficient.

Eligibility

Any Vermonter with a disability including:

  • Developmental disabilities
  • Psychiatric disabilities

In addition, youths with severe emotional/behavioral disabilities who are transitioning to adult life can also receive individualized support to succeed at work. [See the JOBS Program.]
